California Privacy Notice
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
This notice applies only to California residents and addresses information subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This notice supplements the main Mikro Move Privacy Policy.
1. Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information
Under the CCPA, we must disclose the categories of personal information we collect and whether we "sell" or "share" that data for advertising. Mikro Move does not sell your health data for money. However, using analytics (like Firebase) to improve the app may be considered "sharing" under California law.
Contact Information
Includes: Name and email address
Purpose of Use: Account setup, customer support, and “Move” reminders
Disclosed To: IT service providers and customer support systems
Advertising / Analytics: Shared for marketing and analytics purposes
Health & Wellness Data
Includes: Age, gender, and activity logs
Purpose of Use: Personalizing preventative plans
Disclosed To: Cloud storage providers and IT consultants
Advertising / Analytics: We do not sell or share this data
Financial & Billing Information
Purpose of Use: Processing subscriptions
Disclosed To: Payment processors such as Stripe and Apple
Advertising / Analytics: We do not sell or share this data
Biometric / Sensor Data
Includes: Heart rate data from wearables
Purpose of Use: Tracking “Move” intensity
Disclosed To: Database providers
Advertising / Analytics: We do not sell or share this data
2. Your Rights Regarding "Sharing" and "Selling"
You have the right to opt-out of the sharing of your information for analytics.
To Opt-Out: You can adjust your preferences in the "Privacy Settings" menu within the Mikro Move app or email us at mm@mikromove.com.
3. Financial Incentives
We may offer rewards (such as a free month of premium or discounted rates) for completing "Move Challenges" or signing up for our newsletter.
Opt-In: Participation is always voluntary.
Value: The value of the data collected is reasonably related to the value of the discount or reward provided.
4. Sensitive Personal Information
The CCPA classifies certain health data as "Sensitive." Mikro Move only uses this sensitive information to provide the core service (personalized wellness plans) and does not use it for any purpose that requires a separate "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Information" button under California law.
5. "Shine the Light" Notice
California’s “Shine the Light” law allows residents to ask how their data is shared with third parties for their direct marketing. Mikro Move does not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
